Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Communication Compliance – New built-in trainable and global classifiers (U.S. Government clouds)

This update includes new classifiers for use in Communication Compliance policies, including Corporate sabotage, Gifts & entertainment, Money laundering, Regulatory collusion, Stock manipulation, and Unauthorized disclosure. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect business conduct and regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA), such as sensitive or confidential information, harassing or threatening language, and sharing of adult content. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Outlook: Mandatory labeling pre-compose for iOS

Outlook mobile will introduce a new MDM setting to allow admins to enable a mandatory request for email labeling before the user starts composing the message for Outlook mobile.

Outlook: MIP sensitivity label support S/MIME

Customer admins could use set-label advanced setting to define the label to have S/MIME sign or encryption or both, and emails with those labels applied will enforce S/MIME sign and encrypt accordingly.

Microsoft Edge: In-browser JSON viewer

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Enhanced Source Code classifier

The enhanced Source Code trainable classifier includes support for partial/embedded code in Office files, support for 23+ programming languages and 30+ extensions, and high accuracy and low noise with as low as 20 lines of code. The Content Explorer Export feature has a limitation of exporting data only after drill down to specific location. Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – | Maintain label and protection when import data to PowerBI (Web and Desktop)

Microsoft Teams: Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android – New touch and collaboration experiences

New touch and collaboration experiences will include 4K display support to further enhance your meeting experience on large screen devices and the ability to control the room system from both the Front of Room touch display and the touch console for convenience; to get this experience, the“Enable touch controls”setting on the device must be enabled. You will also be able to quickly start collaborating outside of a Teams meeting with the new, one-touch Whiteboard icon on the home screen. Tapping on this will launch the Microsoft Whiteboard app locally, and it will also allow you to start an ad-hoc meeting with your local whiteboard, enabling you to seamlessly switch from local to online collaboration. The“Allow initiate Whiteboard”setting on the device must be enabled to get this experience. When joining from a Teams Rooms device, you’ll start to see incoming chat messages to increase meeting inclusiveness. As a remote meeting participant, you’ll be able to add the PTZ Camera Controls app and control the zoom and orientation of a Teams Rooms camera directly from your desktop during a meeting; to get this experience, the Far end camera control policy must be enabled on the resource accounts.
