Deployment is not Adoption

Deployment is never equal to adoption and is in most cases, the actual implementation of the technology is the easiest part of the entire project. If our IT projects were based solely on the deployment of the technology and could ignore the social, economic and cultural issues – implementing new solutions would be the easiest task we ever took on! Alas, this is not the case and every day we are faced with issues of culture, technology and economics that factor into the how, why and when of any technology we are considering. It is no longer a game of picking just the best tool for the job at hand, but it is about understanding the people doing the job, the environment the job is done in and how those doing it engage with each other. Only in doing this, can we step outside and truly understand the big picture and work together with users to create and build lasting solutions that they will fully adopt. With the latest trends towards the future of IT, we simply can’t afford to continuously support legacy systems or train new workforces to work on antiquated processes and tools. We have entered a time of rapid change and we must adjust, but first, we need to understand the whole picture and not just focus on bringing the technology to our users. Try as we may – we can’t simply deploy new technology and expect them to use it.

“The performance of every part of a digital transformation must be measured, every employee touching the change effort needs to train continuously, to improve where deficient and where strong. By doing so, companies can avoid the problem that dooms most digital transformations — treating it like a project instead of a process.”

Internal Struggle is Unavoidable

Once we understand the full scope of new technology deployments, we can really dig into the details of how to prepare and manage them. As we wade through the new way of doing things, we will learn that this way is very different from the past and many things that we have depended on for years, just don’t provide the same value now as they previously had. Everything from our admin training resources to our engagement with Microsoft takes on a new approach and is redefined in this new cloud model. We must adjust our entire approach in order to keep up to date and be prepared to meet the needs of our growing workforce.

Embrace the Future with Evolve 365 Complete Learning Solutions

With all these things in mind, Planet Technologies has crafted a complete learning solution – designed purposefully to bring together all aspects of learning and change management to your Microsoft 365 deployments. No matter if you are just getting ready to migrate to Office 365 or if you have been there for years. Evolve 365 is a solution designed to meet your users where they are, help them understand the technology available to them and help them understand how it can help them transform how they work together.

The reality we are facing today is that End User Adoption is a requirement of everything we do but getting there requires change and isn’t something that will just happen on its own. We cannot simply expect to deploy solutions and our users to engage and use them. We need to continually focus on driving value and improving processes for our users and training on the best ways to work better. Evolve 365 is the perfect solution.

“Organizations and businesses often forget the untapped potential of employees sharing knowledge and learning with and from each other. Peer-to-peer learning encompasses the four main parts of learning – gaining the knowledge, applying that knowledge, getting feedback, and reflecting on what was learned.”

Hybrid Workforces

  • Adjustments are necessary while working from home and hybrid
  • Flexibility is a core piece of every solution
  • Distractions are everywhere

  • Only 5% of employees are able to work without any distractions
  • 60% of employees feel less connected

The Impact

  • Users find remote collaboration mentally challenging
  • Fatigue sets in 30-40 minutes into meeting time

Opportunities

  • People feel more included in collaboration because everyone is working remotely
  • Society has been forced into a mindset of change and we can use this opportunity to empower our employees
