Microsoft Purview | Audit: Granular scoping with role-based access control (RBAC)
IT departments in large organizations are built in a way that some of the day-to-day tasks are delegated to specific people or roles in the organization following the industry standard of least privilege access. Admins have a need to delegate role-based permissions to users or analysts in a granular way. In some cases, this delegation is based on function, and in other cases it is based on geography or scope of work. In this release, Audit will provide role-based information with Audit search results through the UI.

With this capability, you can create groups of printer devices and designate restrictive actions for each group within your DLP policy in Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention. Microsoft Purview | Communication Compliance: Reporting improvements
Improvements in the message details reporting interface will help make it easier to create and download reports for specific users under scope of a policy, including number of alerts generated and remediation actions taken within a specified date range. Microsoft Purview Communication Compliance provides the tools to help organizations detect regulatory compliance violations (e.g. SEC or FINRA), such as sensitive or confidential information, harassing or threatening language, and sharing of adult content. Built with privacy by design, usernames are pseudonymized by default, role-based access controls are built in, investigators are opted in by an admin, and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Teams: People targeting Graph API
This allows organizations to publish content to multiple teams. Today, the hierarchy is used for task publishing to distribute task lists across multiple teams based on team attributes. Today, customers must use a preview version of PowerShell since we do not have Graph APIs to upload their hierarchy. Having Graph APIs for this hierarchy would Give customers capabilities to work with their hierarchies through Graph for both querying the hierarchy and for end-to-end workflows Remove the barrier of downloading the preview cmdlets from PowerShell once we eventually get the APIs out and release new cmdlets.

Microsoft Teams: Teams calendar now includes scheduling form pop-outs
In a Teams calendar, users will now be able to pop-out an existing meeting using the pop-up icon in a Teams calendar scheduling form. Users will be able to pop out the meeting and have it visible while creating a new meeting. This feature will allow users to view multiple meetings in separate windows while also being able to check their chats or edit their files without the need to switch apps.

Microsoft Stream: Search video transcript for Stream (on SharePoint)
This feature allows users who are viewing a video to search for keywords contained in the video transcript. This feature is available on video files that have transcripts and are stored in OneDrive or SharePoint. Users can navigate through the search results and click on a portion of the transcript to be taken to the respective spot in the video. Users need view or edit permissions on a file to search the transcript. Note: This feature is for searching the transcript of a single video. Users also have the option to search the transcripts of all videos they have permissions to view using M365 search.

Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint): View video analytics in playback experience
This feature will allow users to view analytics for videos stored in OneDrive or SharePoint for which they have view permissions. The analytics are shown as an overlay during video playback and can be toggled on or off by selecting the ‘Analytics’ side pane. Users will be able to see stats showing the number of views and viewers for the last 90 days along with viewership retention which indicate the parts of the video that are most and least viewed.

Microsoft Teams: Automatically view up to 49 videos (7×7) in Teams meeting
Microsoft Teams Meetings currently supports a maximum of 9 videos (3×3) on the screen by default (i.e., Gallery view). For seeing more than 9 videos, user needs to manually select the Large Gallery view. With this update, users will be able to automatically see up to 49 videos (7×7) on their screen by default without an explicit action. The actual number of videos seen by a user will depend on hardware/device capabilities.

Microsoft Stream: Edit the transcript text directly in the UI in Stream (on SharePoint)
This feature allows you to edit the transcript text of a Stream (on SharePoint) video directly in the transcript pane. The feature also works with any videos stored in SharePoint or OneDrive for business that contain transcripts. To edit a transcript, you must have edit permission to the video. Transcript editing helps you improve the quality of your transcript by quickly correcting minor mistakes such as misinterpreted acronyms, names, or incorrect punctuation. Changes in the transcript are also reflected in the closed captions.

Microsoft 365 monitoring allows you to view near real-time activity metrics and compare these with activity from the previous week. This can help you assess whether a service incident is impacting users in your organization. The service health page will be updated to show metrics from relevant monitoring reports when you view the issue detail page. This information will be shown beneath the “User impact” section, along with links to relevant monitoring charts. Microsoft Stream: Add or edit multiple captions and transcripts for a video in SharePoint, OneDrive, or Stream (on SharePoint)
You can upload, download, delete, and replace multiple WebVTT caption files (Web Video Text Tracks) for a single video in Stream (on SharePoint) or for a video stored in SharePoint or OneDrive for business. Multiple WebVTT caption files for one video means you can upload captions and transcripts for different languages or dialects. All uploaded VTT files will be displayed as both captions inside the video player and as transcripts in the pane next to the video. With this feature you’ll be able to add translated captions and transcripts to videos by downloading the WebVTT file generated by Stream or Teams live transcript, editing/translating it on your own in a text or VTT editor, and then uploading it. You will then have one video that gives users the option to view captions and transcripts in multiple languages.
