Microsoft Teams is getting ready to roll out two new updates that will allow you to either increase or hide your video screen. You can now increase your pinned video screen to your desired size when you are presenting or in a meeting. Microsoft also provides the option for you to hide your pinned video screen. These two exciting updates will allow you to have control of how you would like for your video screen to be displayed when using Teams. Be on the lookout for these new updates next month!

Microsoft Stream: Add or Edit captions and transcript for a video in SharePoint or OneDrive

You can upload, download, and delete captions in the Web VTT file format for a video in SharePoint or OneDrive. This will enable you to edit transcript  files generated by Teams live transcript or Stream via downloading the file, editing in a text or VTT editor, and re-uploading it. The VTT file will be displayed as captions inside the video player and as a transcript in the transcript pane next to the video.

We’re adding the ability to create private drafts for pages and news posts. A private draft is visible only to the page author, the people the author chooses to share it with, and site admins. It’s great for creating and editing content that’s not ready for others to see except the people you want to collaborate with.

Advanced eDiscovery is expanding the limits for collection size, review set volume, and export. The limits expansion increases the collection size from 300GB currently to 1TB and expands the review set capacity as well to accommodate large case volumes. Export limits will be increased to 5M documents or 500GB, whichever is smaller. This update will help ensure organizations are able to manage their eDiscovery process across very large data sets effectively with Advanced eDiscovery. This is currently available in public preview.

Microsoft Teams: Global sign in and sign out

Teams iOS app will support Global sign-in and sign-out to simplify the experience for Frontline Workers. Employees can now use any device from the shared device pool to sign in with their credentials and sign out of it at the end of the shift. This will remove all their personal and company information from the device.
