Your organization can now disable connected experiences for privacy concerns without impacting data security policies, such as sensitivity labels. Services associated with Microsoft Purview (e.g. sensitivity labels and rights management) are no longer controlled by policy settings to manage privacy controls for Microsoft 365 Apps. Instead, these services will rely on their existing security admin controls in Purview portals.

Microsoft Viva: Viva Amplify – Advanced analytics
These updates to Amplify Reports and Analytics provide a series of improvements to the existing experience, such as large audience scenarios to better reflect reach across the enterprise. Viva Amplify reports will now be integrated with Campaign Brief and will also include historical data. This data will be available as graphs on the reports and to download as a CSV. There will also be features for copying charts as images and downloading to PowerPoint. The historical data experience provides unique views, promotions, and reactions for the last 7, 30, 90 days, and the last 12 months.

Insider Risk Management Priority user groups will now support bulk upload capabilities. An IRM administrator will be able to upload a CSV of UPNs that they would like to add to a new or existing priority user group. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Teams: App centric management for app deployment in Teams Admin Center
App centric management for app deployment will introduce a new admin setting to control who in the tenant has specific Teams apps preinstalled. Similar to app assignments, admins will be able to select from three options: ‘Deployed to all users’, ‘Deployed to specific users and groups’, or ‘Deployed to no users’. This feature replaces the existing Installed apps section of app setup policies and provides admins with the ability to manage app deployment individually. The Installed apps section of app setup policies for existing customers will be migrated to maintain existing admin settings in the tenant.

Microsoft Entra: Expanded support for device-bound passkeys in Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft Entra ID will add support for device-bound passkeys stored on computers and mobile devices as an authentication method in preview, in addition to the existing support for FIDO2 security keys. This enables users to perform phishing-resistant authentication using the devices that they already have. The existing FIDO2 authentication methods policy and end user experiences will be changed to support this preview release. For organizations to opt-in to this preview, admins will need to enforce key restrictions to allow specified passkey providers in the FIDO2 policy.

Microsoft Teams: Speaker recognition and attribution for all Teams Rooms on Windows
Intelligent speaker recognition is being enabled for all Teams Rooms on Windows environments, with intelligent speakers or on existing speakers via the cloud. This feature identifies and attributes people in live transcripts, utilizing a unique “voiceprint” for each participant.
