Synchronous URL detonation in Office 365 ATP

Today, when a user protected by Office 365 ATP Safe Links policy clicks on a suspicious link in an email, they may get a notification that the link is being scanned. Some users are not used to seeing this page, or would rather have the entire message to be scanned before receiving it, therefore we’re introducing a new setting in the Safe Links policy where admins can turn on Synchronous URL detonation. With this setting on, suspicious URLs and URLs that would lead to downloadable contents in emails are scanned before the email is delivered to users, eliminating the chances of users seeing the URL being scanned notification. If any URL in the message is determined to be malicious, the email will land in the Junk Folder (or other folders based on your policy) instead of their inbox.
